OutdoorBaby.net is a news website for families who enjoy the outdoors! OutdoorBaby.net is for parents who want to stay connected by sharing stories, reading gear reviews, staying up to date on the latest outdoor happenings that are important for introducing their children to the natural world.

Who is Heidi Ahrens?

Heidi Ahrens is the owner of OutdoorBaby.net.  She has worked for the New York City Outward Bound School and the Canadian Outward Bound School.  Previous to her work on OutdoorBaby.net she has taught public school (Brooklyn and Grand Junction) for more than five years and has taught at Colorado Mountain College.  Traveling has always been a part of Heidi’s life.  She has spent some time in Europe, Central and South America, Northern and Eastern Canada, the United States.  Heidi graduated from Prescott College and then continued her Master’s studies at Brooklyn College.

She is the mom to two young girls and married to Erik Skeaff, an English teacher at CRMS.

Dan, Lauren and two kids, (4-ish and 2-ish) like to camp, hike and play out West. Other big goals include riding bikes soon in Utah, spending bilingual months of the year abroad and raising children who are aware of the world around them.

Kati Rouse is the owner of SnuggBugg Baby. She is wife, mom, and runner, and manages Jamie Rouse Fly Fishing Adventures with her husband in Arkansas. After graduating from Rhodes College where she majored in Biology, served as a student trainer, and ran track and cross country, Kati did some graduate work in Exercise Physiology at the University of Memphis. She is a licensed athletic trainer, having worked at Campbell Clinic Orthopedics and Baptist Rehab with many high school and college athletes.  Her work with youth in Memphis also included numerous climbing, rafting, hiking, and ski trips.  So, it's easy to see why Kati has a passion for the outdoors.
